As some of you may have noticed I have learned about this website called Twitter. It's sort of like a chat room with thousands of people in it. The best explanation that I've heard is that it's like being in a crowded room and you choose which conversations you want to be a part of. I am listening into a plethora of conversations from a ton of people. I found out the other day that even Elijah Wood is "listening" to my chat (that's so cool!).
Anyways, so last night I was reading all the conversations go by when I thought, "I wonder how many people we could get together to do a level 60 raid on brand new DK's." So I posted up my idea and a lot of people sounded interested. We decided on a server and then went for it.
However, when it came to actually doing it the people who said they were interested versus the people who actually showed up was vastly different. Part of it was because of the time difference, part was because I thought of it on a Sunday night at 10:30pm EST and people actually work in the morning, part of it was people wimping out, and I'm sure there are a few other parts too. Anyways, we did get 6 or 7 people in the end who did all the DK starting quests. It took longer than we had hoped because instead of all working together we ended up being on different phases of the quests so by the time we had finished most people were tired and logged.
So we've decided to retry the event. Here is the announcement, feel free to invite your friends and guildies (Feel free [read - please do] to post this post on your blog or retweet it [for twitter users of course]) to join us. We want to form at least one 40 man raid and I will continue to retry this event until we eventually do (or until we graduate into BC raids by level default).
Announcing the Twitter Fun Run!
What: Level 60 40 man raid(s)
Where: The Scryers (US) server, Horde side

Etc: The WoW Twitterati is hosting level 60 man raids. Anyone 55+ is welcome to join us. If you are planning on making a DK on this server a reminder that you must finish all quests in the starting area before you can leave the area (takes roughly 90 minutes).
